Winchelsea Town – preserved medieval town with a church, museum, parts of the old defensive walls. Wonderful deli and tea shop. England's smallest town.

Hastings Old Town - for period charm and funny little shops near the sea front.

Canterbury - a stunning cathedral and ancient walled town to explore.

Castles at Bodiam, Camber, Pevensey, Rye Castle and Dover Castle.

Historic houses and buildings at Battle Abbey, Castleston House & De la Warr Pavillion.
