We had a warm and friendly welcome from our hosts and learned we would be the very first people to stay in their Battle Hill Suite in the newly opened Rye Bay B&B cottage. The room came complete with bathrobes and slippers, plush bedding, and a large bath/shower. We were delighted to find our balcony overlooked a field where cows, rabbits and foxes made appearances. Breakfast was a gourmet hamper delivered to our door with all kinds of delicious goodies

25 March 2011 | Rye Bay Cottage almost ready
At Rye Bay Cottage the building work is going well and we have finished the plastering and are now starting to fix on the doors, do the second fix for the plumbing and electrics and install the bathrooms. Mary has been busy selling the rooms and we are starting to fill up.

07 May 2010 | Japanese Garden at Strand House
We have been busy redesigning part of the garden into a Japanese 'stroll garden' creating a quiet relaxing area beside running water and will provide a stunning photo opportunity for our guests especially wedding couples. The garden has been built and designed by local company Rhino Rock who specialise in Japanese gardens. Hugh is a member of the Japanese Garden Society and was one of the team who built their Gold Medal garden at Chelsea Flower show in 2004.
